Die DigiPara GmbH wurde 1989 von Andreas Fleischmann gegründet.

DigiPara hat mit der Parametrik-Application "Genius-Vario" für AutoCAD begonnen und mehr als 2000 Applikationen weltweit verkauft. 1995 wurde dieser Geschäftsbereich an die Firma Genius GmbH verkauft. Später wurde die Genius GmbH and Autodesk verkauft, und so ist Vario heute eine Kernkomponente von AutoCAD Mechanical.

      Several lift companies have used Vario for their builders- and quotation drawings since 1990. This was the start for DigiPara to develop specific branch applications for the elevator industry: LIFTdesigner. Today LIFTdesigner is available in version 5 and is used by several major companies; in particular Schindler and Otis are using it worldwide in their facilities. Also more than 400 small- and medium elevator companies and consultants are using LIFTdesigner worldwide.

    Since 2002 DigiPara has extended the activities for the escalator industry and our escalator tools are today used by Otis, Schindler and Kone.

    In 2006 we extended the LIFTdesigner product for the design of cabin interior. That was the start of CABINdesigner. CABINdesigner 2007 is the simplified, easy-to-use product that fulfills the major requirements to generate a cabin layout and cabin approval drawings.
