DigiPara announces a new version of DigiPara Liftdesigner software
DigiPara, the leading provider of vertical transportation software solutions, announced today the new release of its elevator design software - DigiPara Liftdesigner. With DigiPara Liftdesigner 2014, elevator companies can now create elevator drawings in a complete value chain starting with the development of a component to the final production of an elevator. The new functionalities significantly increase the productivity and enhance the elevator design workflow between all departments.
DigiPara Liftdesigner is a sophisticated Intelligent Elevator Configurator, which combines all the important elevator information to design elevators. The software allows elevator companies including installation companies, consulting firms as well as elevator and component manufacturers the ability to quickly design and configure 2D elevator drawings and 3D elevator models.
“The functionality of our DigiPara Liftdesigner software is advancing at a rapid pace,” says Andreas Fleischmann, CEO of DigiPara GmbH. “With this latest version of DigiPara Liftdesigner, we are reaching a new design level for elevator companies, while at the same time incorporating new features requested by our fast-growing customers.”
Highlights of the new release include:
- Drawing creation in the R&D department: The integration of DigiPara Liftdesigner into the 3D mechanical design software Autodesk Inventor, greatly enhances the development of new elevator configurations in the Research and Development (R&D) department. It standardizes the design process for developing 3D elevator models and components, which reduces development time and costs. In addition, DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager includes several new features as well as an updated user interface to simplify the management of your own elevator components.
- Full drawing automation for elevator production: DigiPara Liftdesigner is now able to fully automate production drawings. It automatically applies all the elevator values and creates the DXF files that are necessary for producing the elevator. Due to the consistent usage of DigiPara Liftdesigner software in the R&D, Sales, Order Processing and Production Planning departments, elevator data only needs to be entered once. This limits lost data and allows engineers and draftsmen to easily maintain, reuse and distribute products to colleagues, partners and clients.
- Updated user interface: A new ribbon based user interface gives a clearer view about the different operations and the usage of the program is easier and more comfortable to work with. In addition, a start screen is displayed when DigiPara Liftdesigner is opened, which gives new and returning users a clear starting point. It provides quick access to a list of the most recently opened projects as well as options for opening and creating new projects.
- Export formats: DigiPara Liftdesigner can now save 3D elevator drawings into IFC and 3D-DWG file formats. In particular, the IFC file format is a commonly used file format for Building Information Modeling (BIM). It allows elevator companies to create complete 3D elevator BIM models and significantly improve the collaboration between architects, builders and elevator companies.
