Windows Application

DigiPara® Liftdesigner is a standalone Windows® Application and requires no other CAD Program to work.

Create a new DigiPara Liftdesigner project within a few clicks: choose between a traction or hydraulic elevator, with or without a machineroom and define the rope alignment.

Create a new elevator project within a few clicks: Enter the payload and the number of stops, choose between a traction or hydraulic elevator, with or without a machine room and define the roping.

The ShaftWizard will automatically configure the complete 3D elevator model and load the required 2D drawings.

You can easily select the related components for your elevator . DigiPara® Liftdesigner provides a very extensive similar 3D BIM library with over 70 suppliers.

Any Shaft Dimensions

DigiPara® Liftdesigner works with new installation as well as modernization projects.

IFC & BIM Exchange for Autodesk® Revit®

An increasing amount of architects require 3D and BIM models. DigiPara Liftdesigner offers all required formats like LD-BIM and IFC. Just choose the LOD Level and export the suitable file format.

Export STEP files for Production

The software offers a variety of 3D export options, so you are prepared for all situations. SAT/STEP files can be opened with any compatible 3D CAD program, e.g. Autodesk® Inventor®, SolidWorks etc.

Excel File Automation

Connect DigiPara Liftdesigner parameters with your own CAD model by using your assigned Excel mapping file. Change the linked DigiPara Liftdesigner dimension in your current project and update your model. DigiPara Liftdesigner updates your complete model as well as the production drawings.

Level of Information (LOI)

LOI information can easily be added by chosing from predefined property sets like COBie and IFC4.

Each relevant component, like doors and hall buttons, has a dedicated set of BIM properties to fill.Many of the property values are preset: For example values like door width and door height are automatically filled in.

BIM execution plan specific property names can be added on a per project basis. This allows to complete the BIM model in DigiPara Liftdesigner before it gets exported.

Level of Development (LOD)

DigiPara Liftdesigner comes with a predefined configuration for each typical LOD value 100,200,300,350,400 and 500.

Moreover there is a LOD MAX: In fact this is no real BIM level, but it helps DigiPara users to export the “maximum” geometrical detailed model where required, e.g. for visualization.

Perfect IFC 4.0 Export

DigiPara Liftdesigner supports the new IFC 4.0 standard.

The IFC 4 export has a perfect structuring of the data within the IFC file. This is very important for the architect and the builder. IFC 4 supports all LOD Level and contains LOI properties.

LDBIM Export for Autodesk® Revit®

The DigiPara LDBIM file format makes sure that all important elevator components become individual families in Revit. The LDBIM format has been improved in Version 2020 and supports the new BIM properties. This makes sure that the architect can build schedules about the elevator products.

The architect needs the newest free DigiPara Elevatorarchitect update, to support the new file enhancements.

Wall Openings

The architect relies on your BIM model. Very important is the location of wall openings: IFC 4 and LDBIM files contain all required wall openings and pockets of the elevator.

These might be door openings, pockets for hall buttons or ventilation openings, etc.

With this feature the architect can safely place the openings into the building design.

Load 3D CAD Models

DigiPara® Liftdesigner enables you to add your own 3D CAD models from Autodesk® Inventor®, PTC® Creo® and SolidWorks®.

The CAD file will be displayed exactly as designed, it might need adaption to the concrete elevator project dimensions.

Manually update your 3D CAD Models

Open the CAD model in your CAD application and adapt to the dimensions of your elevator project.

DigiPara Liftdesigner will automatically show your CAD changes in your elevator design.

Simplify your CAD Models

Protect your know how and simplify your CAD models for the elevator design. This will also reduce the file size, that is important for BIM.

Intelligent tools help you to quickly simplify your CAD model without creating time consuming shrinkwrap files or similar.

Add Engineering to Order (ETO) Content

Even you might have a “Standard Elevator”, the concrete order always has some “Non-standard” in it. Engineering is required to design a special bracket or beam.

Omit 2D drafting and do this work in your favourite 3D CAD program instead. Load the ETO design into your elevator project and make sure that you always have a complete 3D BIM model.

CAD File Hierarchy

Occurrences represent the structure of your CAD model. For each occurrence you can define the type of visibilty, like showing detailed polygons or just a bounding box envelope.

To better support the BIM process you can define this separately for each of the 6 LOD Levels.

3D CAD Files automatically updated

Your DigiPara Liftdesigner project has all configuration parameters in the data tree. Map as many parameters as a you like to your CAD model.

DigiPara Liftdesigner will automatically start your CAD program and adapt your CAD files to your elevator design.

CAD Automation for manufacturing

DigiPara® Liftdesigner enables you to show 3D CAD components within your elevator project. Load any 3D CAD file from SolidWorks®, PTC® Creo® or Autodesk® Inventor®.

Quickly change Dimensions

With DigiPara Liftdesigner you can adjust any dimension. Simply select and modify the dimension value of your choice. Easily click on a dimension in the drawing and change its value in the quick edit window or in the properties window.

Customize your Drawings

Easily add new drawing sheets, create a drawing border and choose a title block. Add and rearrange sections, add view frames, vertical sections, the entrance situation or the machine room. You can also add a 3D view of the complete elevator. All views can be scaled, draged and rotated.

Add Sections

You can easily specify which section appears in the drawing. Just consider the largest car & shaft sizes, the maximum number of cars, stops and travel and define the desired scale.

Add 2D DWG Blocks

Take over the DWG blocks like drawing borders, title block, specification blocks and symbols like guide rails to customize your drawing layout.

Show your own Title Block

If you need your own title block, you can easily create a new one. It will be displayed in the drawing.

Arrange Dimensions

When you activate the view, you will notice that some dimensions do not seem to be visible. To enable all available dimensions, just enable the option by clicking on the component.

Export as PDF and to AutoCAD

Save your completed drawings as PDF for printing or sending an e-mail to a potential customer. As an alternative, send a DWG of the elevator model to your architect.
