New DigiPara® Liftdesigner Automation version adds 3-D elevator BIM functionality

The DigiPara^® Liftdesigner Automation software is now able to save 3-D elevator and escalator drawings into SAT or STEP formats, which imports them into other 3-D CAD programs. This greatly enhances the existing design process for elevator and escalator manufacturers. The new SAT and STEP function enables manufacturers to easily export 3-D elevator and escalator models into other 3-D CAD software like Autodesk® Inventor® or Solidworks, for customization according to their needs.

In addition, elevator and escalator manufacturers are able to send 3-D BIM models created by DigiPara® Liftdesigner Automation to builders and architects. Due to the new export formats, 3-D models can be quickly and conveniently integrated into 3-D architecture software like Autodesk Revit or ArchiCAD. Architects are now able to display elevators and escalators more precisely as well as perform interference checks between the elevator and the building.
