What is a Business Ecosystem
An economic community supported by a foundation of interacting organizations and individuals—the organisms of the business world.
The economic community produces goods and services of value to customers, who are themselves members of the ecosystem. The member organisms also include suppliers, lead producers, competitors, and other stakeholders.
Over time, they coevolve their capabilities and roles, and tend to align themselves with the directions set by one or more central companies. Those companies holding leadership roles may change over time, but the function of ecosystem leader is valued by the community because it enables members to move toward shared visions to align their investments, and to find mutually supportive roles.
The technical advantages
Publish once, appear in multiple channels
Our DigiPara professionals will assist you with the necessary preparation for uploading your product data to DigiPara Liftdesigner Cloud. Having completed this one-time process, your BIM models will be accessible to DigiPara Liftdesigner users via three different channels. The users can export the BIM models to any CAD software they choose. Managing your products within DigiPara Liftdesigner is easy using the Datamanager.
Your logo on the DigiPara Liftdesigner start screen
Adding your company logo to the DigiPara Liftdesigner start screen means that it will be prominently visible to all users. The first thing they see when they start using our software will be your company’s visual identifier!
Providing STEP data is no more sufficient!
Some manufacturers provide STEP files of their products for download. This is no more sufficent, since STEP files does not contain any meta data, like designation, part numbers, etc. (BIM-LOI, Level of Information)
Additionally, in many cases these files are held in a protected area of the website, which is a hurdle that may discourage the customer. Other manufacturers have an even more frictional process: the STEP files are not made available for download at all, and a request for one may have to pass through several people’s hands before it is granted.
Within Digipara Liftdesigner, an individual configurator enables users to adapt your products to their needs with just a few clicks. But if you have a product configurator already, sharing it along with your BIM models in the DigiPara Liftdesigner Cloud is an option.
One BIM, multiple detail levels
You will publish a product to DigiPara as a single BIM, but when users incorporate it into their designs, they will be able to select a version with the appropriate level of development (BIM-LOD).
All our products are on our website?
Most component manufacturers have a list of products on their website. This is good first step, since it is one option for the clients to choose the product.
Nowadays your clients expect more. They expect to find the products quicker and easier:
- Selecting the components in the application they use every day.
- Customization options of the product
- A full scaled 3-D CAD model of the component
- BIM relevant data attached to the products
